Miss Grace Bonnie DePriest, age 7, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, May 19, 2019, at Winston Medical Center in Louisville, Mississippi. A celebration of Grace’s life will be 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rob Faulk officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service from 2 p.m. until service time at Nowell Massey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Nebo Cemetery in Choctaw County.
Grace was born February 9, 2012, to Andrew DePriest and Cindy Garrett DePriest in Fort Pierce, Florida. She was so sweet and touched the lives of everyone who met her; and she gave the best hugs and kisses! Grace was our beloved, shining, happy girl who loved spending times at Disney World in the Magic Kingdom every chance she had. She was the light of our lives; the star of our hearts and she leaves us smiling through our tears at our memories of her.
Grace is survived by her mommy, Cindy, of Louisville; her daddy, Andrew, of Eupora, Mississippi; and her sister Stephenie Garrett of Port St. Lucie, Florida. She also leaves behind her grandparents: Ray and Hazel Garrett of Louisville, Patricia Rutledge of Byram, Mississippi; and Billy DePriest of Eupora. Grace will be missed by her aunts and uncles: Lesia and Donnie Harris; Mike Bruce; Wanda Sapp; Sandra Grigsby; Ron Rutledge; Jennifer Willis; Leigh and Criss Turnipseed; and Lori and Tim Burt; as well as a host of cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandmother Bonnie Ruth DePriest; her “GG” Patsy Aleene Collins; and three uncles Marc Bruce; Kenneth DePriest; and Billy Dean DePriest.
Serving as pallbearers are Ray Garrett, Riley Carruthers, Mike Bruce and Donnie Harris. Memorial contributions in memory of Grace may be given to Give Kids the World Village, 210 S. Bass Road, Kissimmee, FL 34746.
