Clarence was born February 2, 1938, to Clarence Thomas Wiley, Sr. and Elsie Stafford Wiley. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and was the owner of Wiley’s Mobile Home Service until his recent retirement.
Clarence is survived by his wife Gladys Massey Wiley of Starkville; two daughters Teresa Kelly and husband Buddy; and Barbara Hamby and husband Bobby all of West Point. He is also survived by four step-sons: Joe Shurden, Jr. and wife Suzie of Sturgis; Robert “Bobby” Shurden and wife Donna of Gulfport; Don Shurden and wife Lauren of Hattiesburg; and Mark Shurden and wife Angel of Conroe, Texas. One of his greatest joys in life was his grandchildren: Joshua Wiley, Derrick Allen Lee, and Michael Young; as well as his step-grandchildren: Melissa McMillian (Jason), Melanie McKnight (Joe), Joey Shurden (Cat), Joshua Shurden, Ben Shurden, Adam Shurden, Devon Shurden, and Dalton Shurden. Also left to mourn his passing is his two sisters Nancy Wiley Densmore of West Point and Elaine Corser of Columbus. Clarence was preceded in death by his son Jimmy Wiley; grandson Teddy Lamar Wiley; the mother of his children Annie Laura Sudduth Roach; his brother Billy Wiley; and his step-son Bill Shurden.
Serving as pallbearers are Johnny Coleman, Stan Coleman, Sterling Lewis, Ronnie Massey, Steve Massey, and Barry Smith.
