Mrs. Hatcher was born in Winston County on August 10, 1946, to Robert Vardaman “R. V.” and Minnie Rives Stokes. She is a member of Vernon Assembly of God Church. She was a homemaker; she loved to fish and enjoyed playing games and working crossword puzzles on her iPad.
Mrs. Hatcher is survived by her husband of 37 years, Lewis Hatcher of Rolling Fork, Mississippi; her daughters, Melissa Milton of Bolton, Mississippi; and Monica Boatman and husband, Ray, of Vicksburg, Mississippi; her son, Robert Monk and wife, Pam, of Senatobia, Mississippi; and three step-sons, Eddie Hatcher and wife, DeDe, of Rolling Fork; Britton Hatcher and wife, Emily, of Grenada, Mississippi; and Dean Hatcher and wife, Jessica, also of Rolling Fork. Also left to mourn her passing is two sisters, Dorothy Dean Livingston of Vicksburg; and Betty Lou Pecanty of Vidalia, Louisiana; as well as a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Evelyn Joyce Stokes; and her brothers: Robert Derrell Stokes and Milton Douglas Stokes.
Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Boatman, Britton Hatcher, Dean Hatcher, and Eddie Hatcher. Memorial contributions in honor of Mrs. Hatcher may be given to Vernon Assembly of God Church Cemetery Fund, Highway 490, Louisville, Mississippi 39339.
