Mr. Allen was born to Ola Mae McAlilly Allen and Nathan A. Allen on August 22, 1928. He was a lifelong resident of Winston County, MS. He graduated high school in the top of his class and excelled as a basketball athlete. He enjoyed good health, worked hard on the family farm, raising beef cattle. He was known to have some of the best beef cattle in the area! Other than farming, he worked for Mr. M. L. Mills at the Standard Oil Bulk Plant, and later retired from Spartus Corporation as the supervisor over security. Most of all, he was a devout Christian, worked hard to live a good and exemplary life that others could follow, went to church regularly, maintaining a humble heart with a good attitude towards his fellow man, always willing to help others. Mr. Allen always maintained a strong self-discipline, great character, and high respect for others. He dearly loved and cared for his family wanting them to have the best life had to offer. However, above all that, he held a great love and obedience for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He is a life-long member of Center Ridge United Methodist Church.
