Mr. Jimmie A. Bouchillon, 88, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi, on Thursday, October 7, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2010, at the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Murphy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Junior Davis and Rev. Walter Simmons officiating. Mr. Bouchillon was a retired dairyman and carpenter and was a member of Murphy Creek Baptist Church. He answered the call of his country during World War II by serving in the United States Navy; he also served in the C. C. Camp for two years.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Bouchillon of Louisville; two daughters, Tara Aleta and Ronnie Puckett of Louisville and Angie and Darrin Webb of Pelahatchie, Mississippi; three sons, Jimmie G. and Judy Bouchillon, Michael J. and Janie Bouchillon, and Randy A. and Jane Bouchillon all of Louisville; two sisters, Betty Johnson of Louisville and Bonnie Ferguson of Tupelo, Mississippi; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Larry Goodin, Johnny Johnson, Clyde Johnson, Richard Nance, Jonathan Burt, and Brock Burton. Gabe Powell, Ricky Foster, and Walter Ferguson will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Murphy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or to Murphy Creek Music Fund. Nowell-Massey Funeral Home, 724 North Columbus Avenue, Louisville, MS is handling the arrangements.
