Grace was born on July 31, 1943, to Jim and Josephine Wyatt. She was a member of Whitehall Methodist Church. Grace enjoyed working in her flowers and her yard. During her working life, she worked at TRW, Angelica Pants Factory, and most recently, the Louisville High School cafeteria. She loved children and watching them as needed. She dearly loved her family and enjoyed cooking for them.
Grace is survived by two sons, Mark Dempsey (Tabby) and Jason Dempsey (Christy) all of Louisville. One of her greatest joys was being “Granny Grace” to her six grandchildren: Amy Speights (Chris), Matthew Dempsey (Carley), Brock Ward (Taylor), Michael Dempsey (Rayann), Megan Dempsey, and Ian Dempsey; as well as her great-grandchildren: Everleigh and Levi Dempsey; Marilyn, Evelyn, and Cassidy Speights. Grace is also survived by her brother, Howard; and brother-in-law, Bud Brown; and her sisters-in-law, Judy Wyatt and Louise Dempsey; in addition to her loving nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Noble Dempsey; her son, John Dempsey; her parents; and her siblings: Jimmy, Keith, Peggy, Anna, Patricia, and Vicky Jo.
Serving as pallbearers will be Matthew Dempsey, Lee Brown, Tripp Brown, Cayden Brown, Dwight Dempsey, and Derek Wyatt. Memorials in honor of Grace may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital online at stjude.org.
