Leon Fuller

Leon Fuller, 95, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at his home in Louisville, Mississippi, surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Saturday, October 7 at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, October 8 in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville, Mississippi, with Reverend Charles Rook and Reverend Lawrence Runnels officiating. Visitation will also be the day of the service at the funeral home from 12 p.m. until service time. Interment will immediately follow the service in 16th Section Cemetery.

Leon was born on December 4, 1927, to Homer and Marie Robertson Fuller. He lived in Winston County his entire life and was well-loved in his community. He was a member of Singleton Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon for many years. He was a logger by trade, and enjoyed logging alongside his son, Mike, as well as numerous others. He answered the call of his country, serving in the United States Army.

In his spare time, Leon enjoyed bird, rabbit, and deer hunting as well as fishing. He and his loving wife, Pauline, enjoyed gardening in the summer and sharing the fruits of their labor with family and friends. Most of all, Leon enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, whom he loved dearly. He never met a stranger and his smile would light up a room.

Leon is survived by four daughters: Linda Craft of Canton, Mississippi; Debbie (Allen) Morgan of Starkville, Mississippi; Norma (Jimmy) Puckett and Jennifer (Stacy) Palmer, both of Louisville; one son, Mike (Pat) Fuller also of Louisville; 15 grandchildren: Stephanie (Jim) Reames, Tonya Upchurch, Seth (Julie) Fuller, Rachael (Chris) Fowler, Courtney (Trey) Shaw, Anna (Tony) Cadle, Allison Morgan Allen, Sara (Chad) Chapman, Caitlin Puckett, Tyler Morgan, Joey (Kimberly) Thomas, Carley Puckett, Whitney Palmer, Michael (Christy) Fuller, and Lydia Palmer; and 31 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind three sisters, Coonie Flake, Ilene (Jerry) Estes, and Anne Robertson; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving, devoted wife of 71 years, Pauline Kemp Fuller; one grandson, Caleb Fuller Puckett; three great-grandchildren: Morgan Elise Farthing, Judson Fowler, and Penelope Skye Cadle; his parents; and his siblings: Inez Fuller Rogers, Lamar Fuller and Leck Fuller.

Serving as pallbearers are Jim Reames, Seth Fuller, Chad Chapman, Chris Fowler, Tony Cadle, Joey Thomas, Michael Fuller, Tyler Morgan, and Trey Shaw.
