Charles “Charlie” Frazier White

Charles “Charlie” Frazier White, 86, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023, at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. A graveside memorial service and interment will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 1 at Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, Mississippi, with Reverend Mike Childs officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville.

Charlie was born March 10, 1937, to E. C. and Lois Frazier White in Louisville. He was a graduate of Louisville High School and Mississippi State University. During his time at Mississippi State University, Charlie was involved in the Army ROTC training program. He then answered the call of his country by serving in the United States Army while stationed at Redstone Arsenal in Alabama rising to the rank of Lieutenant. After the Army, he worked as a software designer for International Business Machines (IBM); later, he started his own business of designing software for the banking industry. Charlie was also involved in the arts, specifically photography and most recently, woodturning. He was exceptionally talented as a woodturner and he was a member of the Mississippi Craftsman Guild and Magnolia Woodturners.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Martha Porter White; and his sister, Carol White Anger and husband, Bob. He is also survived by his nephews and nieces, their spouses and children: Adam White, Eric White, Matt Anger, Luke Anger, Thomas Jenkins, Sara Anger and Beth Jenkins; his double first cousin, Noneine Keene, and numerous other cousins; as well as his sister-in-law, Elizabeth Jenkins. Charlie is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Jimmy Dennis White.
