Truman Harvard Triplett

Truman Harvard Triplett, 76, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Funeral services will be 12 noon. on Thursday, June 8, in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Wayne Hill and Bro. Mark Mayo officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will immediately follow the service in Perkinsville Cemetery.

Truman was born November 15, 1946, to Harvard and Willie Eaves Triplett in Winston County, Mississippi. He was a lifelong member of Bethel Baptist Church. Truman retired from Taylor Machine Works after more than 50 years of service as a machinist. He was an active Master Mason of Winstonville Lodge #277 and he was also a Shriner. Truman enjoyed classic cars and attending classic car shows. He dearly loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially his grandchildren. He answered the call of his country by serving for more than 30 years in the National Guard.

Truman is survived by his children: Chris Triplett, and wife, Amanda; Shelia Triplett, all of Louisville; Ann Carter and husband, Mike, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; and Craig Bouchillon and wife Susie of Melbourne, Florida. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Goodin, also of Louisville. One of his greatest joys was being “Pap Paw” to his two grandsons, Thrasher and Reed Triplett. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith; an infant son, Michael Triplett; and his parents.

Serving as pallbearers are Isaac Bouchillon, James Griffith, Dustin Smith, Nick Stewart, Jacky Triplett, and John Triplett. Honorary pallbearers are the Deacons of Bethel Baptist Church, Thrasher and Reed Triplett, John William Smith, and Larry Goodin. Memorial contributions in honor of Truman may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital online at stjude.org.
