Daniel Conner was born in Wahalak, MS on May 24,1936 to the late George Washington Conner and Annielou Elva (Warren) Conner. He was a graduate of Shuqualak High School and proudly served his country for four years in the U.S. Air Force. Daniel married the love of his life, the former Annie Pearl Weaver, on March 25,1956 and to this union five children were born. Daniel was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman. He took pleasure in training his own bird dogs. He enjoyed cooking and often cooked large open fire “Black Pot” Brunswick stews for the members of his hunting club. Daniel was a friendly person with a dry sense of humor and was counted as a good friend by many of the residents of the area. He loved all the time that he spent with his children and grandchildren and he also enjoyed playing the guitar. Daniel was a longtime member of the Macon Church of Christ.
Daniel Conner is survived by his wife: Annie Pearl Conner of Preston; three daughters: Debbie Kirk (Stanley) of Louisville, MS; Rhonda Ann Conner of Beaufort, SC; Brenda Faye Grebner (Don) of Starkville, MS; and by two sons: Danny Conner (Wendy) and Joseph Bradley Conner, both of Preston, MS. He is also survived by one sister: Lorraine Bishop of Meridian, MS and by ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister: Carolyn Evans and by three brothers: Nelson Conner, Curtis Conner, and Thurman Conner. He was also predeceased by a grandson: Wayne Everett Myhre III.
