Mr. Woods, 90, of Winston County, died Saturday, June 17, 2023.Dub was born and raised in Attala County in the Zama Community. He attended school at Zama and worked in the plumbing industry with the Lundy Brothers and Barnett Plumbing until his retirement. After retiring he lived a simple life in the Plattsburg Community. He loved his family and friends, to hunt and his dog Patsy. Mr. Woods was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include his sons, Randy Woods and Ricky Woods both of Philadelphia; daughter, Carmen Rouse Marker (Steve) of Homewood, MS; grandsons, Brent Woods (Aimee) of Philadelphia and Jeremy Woods of Philadelphia; great-grandchildren, Dalton, Landon, Kolton, Cooper, Callista, Morgan, Kaylee and Jada Woods; sister, Billie Scarborough of Memphis, TN; family friend, Bobby Brown of Philadelphia; niece, Pam Woods of Galveston, TX; nephew, Tommy Donald of Memphis, TN.
Mr. Woods was preceded in death by his parents, Bennett and Mamie Woods; brother, Hubert Woods; sister, Dixie Ryburn; grandson, Jason Woods.
Pallbearers are Jeremy Woods, Brent Woods, Landon Woods, Dalton Woods, Tim Manning, Bobby Brown, Kenny Edwards and Rudy Lovern.
