Louis Delano Fioramonti

Louis Delano Fioramonti, 90, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Winston Medical Center in Louisville, Mississippi, with his loving family at his side. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 20 in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Bob Massey officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Interment will immediately follow the service in Good Hope Cemetery.

Lou, a descendant of Italian immigrants, was born to Ciro and Caterina Nuzzi Fioramonti on
March 28, 1933, in Washington, D. C. He began his career as a police officer with the Washington, D. C. police department. Later, he transferred to serve in the Secret Service Uniform Division at the White House. He was always so proud to be a first-generation secret service agent that his country entrusted him to protect. Lou answered the call of his country by serving in the United States Navy.

Mr. Fioramonti is survived by his children, Marc Fioramonti and wife, Lisa, of the Nanih Wayia Community; and Patricia Pope and husband, Stephen, of Petal, Mississippi. One of his greatest joys was being “Poppy” to his four grandchildren: Brittany (Zach) Jones, Brett Fioramonti, Lindsay Pope, and Ethan Pope; and his great-grandson, William Elijah “Eli” Jones; he was so proud of them. Lou is also survived by his sister, Gloria Knudsen of Alexandria, Virginia; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife, Patty Rogers Fioramonti; his parents, Ciro and Caterina Fioramonti of Labico, Italy; brothers, Leo Fioramonti, Rocco Fioramonti, and Adam Fioramonti; sisters, Mary Marchetti, Beatrice Biancaniello, Judy Thompson, and Josephine Motika.

Serving as pallbearers are Brett Fioramonti, Ethan Pope, Stephen Pope, Zach Jones, Laverne Collins, and Richard Rogers. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital online at stjude.org/donate.
