Funeral services for Eloise Collins Divine will be held Friday, September 24, 2021 at 2 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Rev. Tony Roberts and Rev. Sam Fulton officiating. Burial will follow in Smallwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at McClain –Hays Funeral Home. McClain-Hays is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Divine, 86, of Philadelphia, died Monday, September 20, 2021.
She was a native of the Plattsburg Community of Winston County and lived in Neshoba County for most of her adult life. She worked as a machine operator for Georgia Pacific Wood Products in Louisville for 27 years until she retired in 2002. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, quilting and singing. Mrs. Divine was a member of Christian Life Tabernacle.
Survivors include her daughters, Peggy Sue Smith of Pennington, AL; Mary Jessie Garza (Guy) of Butler AL; Tammy Renee Divine of Philadelphia; Marilyn Kay Howell (Jason) of Philadelphia; 20 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Irene Rogers (Hershel) of Nanih Waiya; a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Divine was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie James Divine; sons, James Paul Divine and Edward Earl Divine; daughter, Patsy Eloise Divine; granddaughters, Misty Lynn Stokes and Brandy Donita Stokes; brothers, Earl, William, Frank and Michael Collins; sisters, Bernice Pace, Aquilla Mayo, Mary Ruth Rogers and Nancy Chancellor.
Pallbearers are Daniel Stokes, Chris Stewart, Greg Nowell, Michael Smith, David Smith, Billy Boykin III, Jacob Nathaniel Boykin, Christian Howell and Dewayne Floyd.
