Funeral services for Harold B. Wilcher were held Friday, February 12, 2021 at 1 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Bro. Kyle Wooten and Bro. Dudley Winstead officiating. Burial was in Wilcher Cemetery with Full Military Honors. Visitation was held Friday, February 12, 2021 from 12 noon until service time. McClain-Hays in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Wilcher, 68, of Edinburg, MS, died Monday, February 8, 2021.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Edinburg MS and a 1970 graduate of Edinburg High School. He served in the MS Air National Guard 183rd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron as a Chief Master Sgt. Until he retired in 2011 with 40 plus years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman and had a love for music and singing. Mr. Wilcher was a member of New County Line Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Deborah Ray Wilcher of Edinburg; daughter, Melanie Wilcher Griffin (Danny) of Louisville; son, Michael Wilcher (Stephanie) of Edinburg; grandchildren, Madison and Mallory Wilcher; brothers, Howard Wilcher (Shellie) of Edinburg, Dennis Wilcher (Beccy) of Edinburg; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Wilcher was preceded in death by his parents, Troy (Tut) and Rosa Wilcher.
Pallbearers are Steve Adams, Ricky Adcock, Ben Adams, Steve Stone, Ron Fitzhugh and Joseph Fitzhugh. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Mississippi Air National Guard.
