Jaxtyn Smith

Christopher Jaxtyn Smith passed away on February 20, 2021, at the age of 8 months. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 27th, at Vernon Assembly of God Church, with Rev. Eugene Duran and Rev. Allen Eaves officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Interment will be in Vernon Assembly Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his mother, Ashton (Brad) Smith of Shannon, MS; a sister, Piper Smith of Shannon, MS; grandparents, DeAnna (Dale) Swearingen of Shannon, MS; Jackie Robertson Goodin of Louisville; Michael (Kay) Smith of Tupelo, MS; Frankie (Papaw Don) Robertson of Louisville; Cindy Pate of Tupelo, MS, Harvey Swearingen; aunts and uncles, Allyson (Sam) Musa, Caleb (Jenny) Swearingen, and Trisha, Laken, and Kayla and cousins, Jaclyn “Wawa” Presley, Chandlor Swearingen Kaleigh Swearingen, and Amera & Mia Musa.

He was preceded in death by grandparents, Chad Goodin, Steve Robertson, and Chris Smith.

Pallbearers will be Caleb Swearingen, Chandlor Swearingen, Junior Robertson, Sam Musa, and Don Kemp.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s or Blair Batson Children’s Hospital.
