Doris Nell Stanley Jones, 77, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at The University of Alabama Medical Center in Birmingham, Alabama. Visitation will be Saturday, October 11, 2014, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 12, 2014, at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Wise officiating. Interment will follow in Union Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
Ms. Jones was born on March 3, 1937, to Climmie Clayton and Daisy Bell Watkins Stanley. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, and she worked various jobs during her working career at TRW, Wells Lamont Glove Factory in Philadelphia, Mississippi, and at Angelica.
Ms. Jones is survived by her children: Clay Jones of Philadelphia; Mike Jones and wife, Pat, of Carthage; Kathy Donald and husband, Alan, of Louisville; and Steven Jones and wife, Lisa, of Noxapater. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren: Candace Jones Bingham and husband, Justin; Kyle Jones; Jennifer Collum and husband, Trae; Wesley Donald and wife, Sarah; Jonathan Coward and wife, Krystal; Lindsey Donald; Kaylin Jones McDaniels and husband, Matt; Mahalia Jones; Colby Jones; and Riley Jones. Ms. Jones also has eight great-grandchildren: Jacob Collum; Chloe Poole; Ally Bingham; Emily Collum; Bronnor Bingham; Mallory Collum; Malleigh Coward; and Wyatt McDaniels. Surviving Ms. Jones is her brother, Wyatt Stanley and wife, Laverne, of Philadelphia; and her sister-in-law, Inez Armstrong of Noxapater. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buck Jones; and her parents.
Serving as pallbearers will be Trae Collum, Jonathan Coward, Wesley Donald, Colby Jones, Kyle Jones, and Riley Jones. Having a special place in her heart are the members of her Sunday School class, the Golden Circle Sisters.
