Mr. Milton Dwight Fountain, 78, died Monday, April 7, 2014, at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 9th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Walter Simmons and Rev. David Keen officiating. Interment will be in Murphy Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Porter Funeral Home.
Mr. Fountain was born December 22, 1935, in Logan, Iowa. He was retired after 22 years as a welder for Taylor Machine Works. He was a U. S. Marine Corp veteran of the Korean Conflict, and was a member of Murphy Creek Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eloise and Bernard Fountain; a daughter, Margaret Ann Coleman; and a son, Don Hunt.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Margaret White Fountain of Louisville, MS; a daughter, Wauwice (Kenneth) Hubbard of Christiansburg, VA; two sons, Larry (Shirley) Hunt of Leesville, LA, and Ronald Pat (Debbie) Hunt of San Diego, CA; a sister, Jackie Meir of Pocahontas, Iowa; 12 grandchildren 13 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren.
