Mrs. Whitehead was born July 31, 1932, in Louisville, MS. She was a homemaker and a member of East Louisville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Albert “Bill” Whitehead; two brothers, Archie Edwards and Alvin Edwards; and six sisters, Mary Leon Schell, Pauline Chiles, Claudine Richardson, Walene Fortner, Jewell Miller, and Edna Pearl Oliver.
She is survived by a daughter, Dale (Wayne) Joiner of Louisville; a son, Albert (Nell) Whitehead of Louisville; a brother, Billy Edwards of Louisville; four grandchildren, Bridgett Peeples, Michael Joiner, Alecia Holder, and Jonathan Whitehead; and seven great grandchildren.
