Mr. Benny King, 70, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2014, at Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home of Louisville on Tuesday, January 14, 2014, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2014
, in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Felix Arnold and Rev. Jimmy Dempsey officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Marlon Adcock officiating.
Mr. King was born December 14, 1943, to Earnestine Garrard King and Marvin Lee King. He was of a member of West End Baptist Church and he was retired from logging with Quinton Hill Logging.
He is survived by his wife, Faye King of Louisville. He is also survived by four children: Pam Knotts; James King; Jerry Lee King; and Jeff Ray King all of Louisville. Mr. King has three grandchildren: Dani Stewart (Jeremy), Tom Knotts (Lana), and Robyn King (Chris); and four great-grandchildren: Tyler Langford, Lenora Knotts, Ryder Langford, and Stetson Knotts. He is also survived by his sisters, Mary Vowell and husband, Ricky, of Louisville, and Ruby Collins of Noxapater, Mississippi; and his brother, Neal King and wife, Sandra, of Brookhaven, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jerry and Wayne King; and his parents.
