Mr. Brian Barry Nunnery, 58, died Thursday, February 26, 2012, at his home in Louisville. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 2nd, at 11:00 A.M., at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Charles Davis officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. at Porter Funeral Home. Mr. Nunnery was born July 28, 1953, in Centerville, MS. He was a graduate of Liberty High School, and received his B. S. degree from Mississippi State University. He was a retired Mississippi state park manager, having served Tishomingo State Park, Golden Memorial State Park, and 22 years at Legion State Park in Louisville. He was a member of the Louisville Lions Club and Evergreen Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Doreen Stacy and Donald Nunnery. He is survived by his daughter, Natalie Nunnery of Louisville; a son, Nathan Nunnery of Louisville; two sisters, Beverly Nunnery and Stacy Nunnery, both of Florence, MS; and a brother, David Nunnery of Jackson. Mr. Jerry “Red” Taylor, 67, died Monday, February 27, 2012, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 29th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Rob Faulk and Rev. Larry Haggard officiating. Interment will be in East County Line Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Porter Funeral Home.
Mr. Taylor was born January 3, 1945, in Louisville, MS. He was in the construction industry, and was a member of South Louisville Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Monica Taylor of Louisville; his mother, Arrietta Taylor of McCool, MS; three daughters, Honey Taylor of Louisville, Angel (Eric) Whitehead of Louisville, and Lesley (Robert) Utz of Kosciusko, MS; two sisters, Janette Nelson of Brandon, MS, and Joanne Adcock of Philadelphia; and two grandchildren, Anna Grace Whitehead and Taylor Luke Whitehead; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Dr. Dean Calloway
Dr. Dean Calloway, 87, died Monday, February 27, 2012, at Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 1st, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Louisville. Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at Porter Funeral Home.
Dr. Calloway was born September 25, 1924, in Louisville, MS. He received his B.S. degree at Millsaps College, and his Ph.D. at the University of Alabama. Most of his 30 years of teaching were at Birmingham Southern College in Birmingham, AL. His last five years of teaching were at Baker University at Baldwin, KS. Before he retired in 1987, he was an emeritus member of the American Chemical Society, and was a member of Sigma Xi, the scientific research society. He and his wife, Virginia, retired to Aldersgate Retirement Community in 2001, after being retired in Columbus, MS, for 14 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; and his parents, J. E. Calloway, Sr. and Clyne Richardson Calloway.
He is survived by his brother, Dr. J. E. (Edwina) Calloway of Louisville; niece, Ann Calloway Perrier of Vicksburg, MS; nephews, J. E. “Pepper” Calloway of Durham, NC, and Dr. Edwin Sand “Sandy” Calloway of Cleveland, GA; one grandniece and five grandnephews.

Born on February 3, 1929, Mrs. Flake was a member of East Louisville Baptist Church. She was a retired beautician and a Wal-Mart associate.
Mrs. Flake is survived by her husband, James Clinton Flake of Louisville, Mississippi; her daughter, Janys Jones and husband, Nolen "Curly", of Walnut Grove, Mississippi; and two sons, Jimmie Flake and wife, Faye, of Sturgis, Missisippi; and David C. Flake and wife, Diane, of Bogue Chitto, Mississippi. She is also survived by three sisters: Nadine Culpepper; Katherine Frazier and husband, Fred; and Annie Sue Holder, and one brother, Harley Eaves and wife, Janie, all of Louisville, Mississippi. Mrs. Flake has six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Earnest and Gussie Mae Hisaw Eaves and her brother, Billy Joe Eaves.

Miss Kirk is survived by two sisters: Kathryn Kirk of Louisville, Mississippi; and Lavada Robertson and husband, Bobby, of St. Charles, Missouri. She is also survived by four brothers: Ralph Kirk; Randolph Kirk and wife, Sally; Roger Kirk and wife, Gloria; and Samuel Kirk and wife, Barbara, all of Louisville, Mississippi; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Enid Schoolar Kirk.

John Thomas Rogers
Mr. John Thomas Rogers, 53, died Thursday, February 23, 2012, at his home in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Sunday, February 26th, at Bethel Baptist Church, with Rev. Mr. Rogers was born December 1, 1958. He was a former pastor, and a member of Vernon Assembly of God Church.
He is survived by his parents, Clara Eaves and Berlin Rogers of Louisville; three sons, Robert Rogers of Lake, MS, Brian Rogers of Brandon, MS, and Jonathan Rogers of Louisville; three sisters, Kathy Hodge, Sharon McKinley, and Donna Sinclair, all of Louisville; and one grandchild, Madison Kaye Rogers.

Janie Lou Wells Johnson
Mrs. Johnson, a Winston County native, was the daughter of Irvin Alwin and Belle Myers Wells, granddaughter of Finis Wells, and great-granddaughter of Benjamin Wells and Arnold Taylor of the Center Ridge Community.
Born December 15, 1933, in Louisville, she graduated a year early in the Class of 1950. Following business college, she was employed in Jackson before her marriage in 1952. Having lived most of her life in Louisville and Greenville, upon retirement from Washington Manufacturing (Schwinn Bicycle) in Greenville, she retired to Tupelo.
She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Johnson, of Weir, Mississippi, her son, David Johnson and wife, Suzanne, and grandson Wesley Johnson, all of Cabot Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her twin brother John, and the rest of her siblings, Isaac, Floyd, Dewitt, and her sister, Sarah Wylie.

Granny Dolly, as she was affectionately called by her family, was born May 23, 1923, in Louise,Mississippi, to George Russell Gray and Lula Mae Chaney Gray. She had five brothers and four sisters.
At a young age, she (along with her younger siblings) was placed in the Mississippi Children's Home Society to be adopted. On April 3, 1933, she was adopted by C. L. (Charley) and Vera Stanley Gladden. Seventeen days later the Gladdens returned to Jackson and adopted her brother, Buddy.
The family made their home in the Camp Ground community and on March 28, 1938, Dolly married William Martin Smith. They continued to live their entire lives in the Gladden home and were blessed with three boys: William Joe, Charles Jerry, and Scotty Gray.
She helped raise all six of her grandchildren: Tim, Marty, Dane, Scott, Sam, and Melanie. She dearly loved her six great-grandchildren: Eric, Aubrie Claire, Briann, Matthew, Tyler and Carmen.
Granny Dolly was a homemaker and worked along with her husband in the dairy business. She was also well known as one of the best cooks in the county and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She was a faithful member of Camp Ground United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, all her siblings and her husband. Those left to celebrate her life are: Joe, Peggy, Tim, Lisa, Marty, Gina, Tyler, Carmen, Sam, Jerry, Becky, Dane, Scott, Briann, Matthew, Scotty, Melanie, Kiley, Eric, and Aubrie Claire.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Joe Smith, Garland Smith, Jackie Holdiness, Butch Burns, Isaac Triplett and Ronnie Mitchell.

Mr. Chambliss was born April 18, 1947, in Louisville, MS. He was a retired brakeman and conductor after 44 years with the railroad. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, the Louisville Country Club, and was an avid sportsman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joaquin Prisock and Audy Tines Chambliss; and a brother, Gibby Chambliss.
He is survived by his wife, Polly Chambliss; two daughters, Klaye Chambliss of Brandon, MS, and Dedra (Brian) Parker of Brandon, MS; a son, Kyle (Melissa) Chambliss of Mandeville, LA; two sisters Judy (Larry) Mayo of Louisville, and Frances (Tony) Carr of Starkville; a brother, Robby (Janice) Chambliss of Louisville, MS; five grandchildren, Zach Parker, Austin Chambliss, Brody Burchfield, Bella Burchfield, and Coley Chambliss; and several nieces and nephews, Michael Chambliss, Grant Mayo, Hayden Carr, Corrin Taylor, Brittany Ridgway, Amy Miller, Russ Newman, and Ann N. Clara Burchfield
Clara Beatrice Devine Burchfield, born June 16, 1926 in Holmes County Mississippi to Otis Elmore Devine and Ivy Bee Gentry deceased, passed away February 13, 2012 at 11:40 pm in Winston County, MS.
She was the wife of Harold Jackson Burchfield who preceded her in death. Two children also preceded her in death, a son Allen Ray Burchfield and a daughter Frances Cheryl Burchfield.
She is survived by four children: Gary Burchfield, Robert Burchfield, Marty Burchfield, and Derrick Burchfield all of Lo Butcha, MS. Eight grandchildren; Moriah Sidwell of Dallas, TX, Amber Young of Louisville, MS, Nolan Burchfield of Kosciusko, MS, Krista Vowell of Starkville, MS, Kimberly Boswell of Forrest, MS, Jason Burchfield of Louisville, MS, Jacob Burchfield of Jackson, MS, and Kodi Yocham of Winston County, MS. Eleven Great Grandchildren and counting; two Sisters Delores McCalup of McComb, MS and Bobbie Ray of Winston County, MS. several nieces and nephews.
