Mrs. Green was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church.She was a retired longtime employee of Garan, Inc. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Russell Fleming and a granddaughter, Cynthia Fleming.Survivors include her husband, E.J. Mrs. Persons is survived by her husband, Gene Persons of Noxapater, Mississippi; two daughters, Karen Persons of Starkville, Mississippi, and Kristen Persons of Memphis, Tennessee; one son, Charlie Persons, Jr. of Shuqualak, Mississippi; one sister, Sue Ward and husband, Billy, of Louisville, Mississippi; one brother, Gene Clay and wife, Sherry, of Noxapater, Mississippi; three grandchildren, Courtney Persons, Caitlin Mitchell, and Ethan Persons; and one great-grandchild, Gracie Kay Mitchell. Mr. Paul G. Eichstaedt, 70, of Louisville, Mississippi, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi, on Friday, April 29, 2011, from 12:00 p.m. until service time. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 29, 2011, at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Trent Jaudon officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors. He was born on December 29, 1940, to Paul and Marie Eber Eichstaedt. Mr. Eichstaedt was a retired security guard at Georgia Pacific and a member of South Louisville Baptist Church. He enlisted and served several years in the United States Army.
Mr. Eichstaedt is survived by one stepdaughter, Donna Lackey of Philadelphia, Mississippi; one stepson, Robert Laird of Louisville, Mississippi; one sister, Mary Ann Ruge; and two brothers, Fred and Alfred Eichstaedt. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Marie Eber Eichstaedt.

Mrs. Owana Hatcher, 78, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, April 29th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Mr. T.J. Mrs. Hatcher was born February 22nd, 1933 in Winston County. She was the retired owner of Stallo Grocery, and a member of Plattsburg Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sambo Hatcher, a son, Paul Hatcher, and her parents, Warren Levi Deweese and Nancy Blount.
She is survived by her sons, David (Diane) Hatcher, of Philadelphia, and Barry Hatcher, of Noxapater; a brother, Warren Lee Deweese, of Noxapater; 7 grandchildren, Leigh Ann White, Lindsey Joiner, Josh Hatcher, Paul David Hatcher, John Hatcher, Duey Hatcher, and Katy Hatcher; and 8 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Roy White, William White, Josh Hatcher, Paul David Hatcher, John Hatcher, Duey Hatcher, Charlie Mac Joiner, and Rusty Suttle.

Catherine Alewine Fulcher

Mrs. Catherine Alewine “Boots” Fulcher, 87, died Saturday, April 23, 2011, at her home in Louisville. Mrs. Fulcher was born September 10, 1923, in Louisville, MS. She was a retired employee of Spartus Corporation, and was a member of Crystal Ridge Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. “Rat” Fulcher; and two sons, Danny Fulcher and Jerry Fulcher.
She is survived by a son, Jimmy Fulcher of Louisville; three grandchildren, Randy Fulcher, Madeline Fulcher, Lisa McMillan; and six great grandchildren, Braydon & Addison Fulcher, and Abigail, Olivia, Brittany, and Sterling McMillan.

Carl Black

Mr. Carl Black, 88, of McCool, Mississippi, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2011, at Crossgates River Oaks Hospital in Brandon, Mississippi. He was born on September 17, 1922, to John Winston Black, Sr., and his wife, Gertrude Wilson Black. Mr. Black was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. During World War II, he served in the United States Army, from which he later retired.
Mr. Black is survived by one stepdaughter, Sherry Ann Clark of Louisville, Mississippi; six stepsons: Billy Wade Clark and wife, Faye, of Louisville, Mississippi, Thomas Walter Clark and wife, Ann, of McCool, Mississippi, James Lamar Clark and wife, Jamie, of Noxapater, Mississippi, Jerry Michael Clark and wife, Betty Jo, of McCool, Mississippi, Gary Alon Clark and wife, Crystal, of Louisville, Mississippi, and Keith Clark and wife, Kathy, of McCool, Mississippi; one sister, Faye Tollison and one brother, C. L. Black, both of Louisville, Mississippi; one sister-in-law; Ida Mae Teer Black of McCool, Mississippi; 14 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Zola Black; parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Winston Black, Sr.; two sisters and six brothers including Ivy Willard Black, who passed away on April 19, 2011.

During World War II and the Korean War, Mr. Black served in the United States Navy, from which he later retired.
