Dan Whitfield, Jr., 84, of Greenwood, MS., formerly of Louisville, MS., passed on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at the Greenwood Leflore Hospital , Greenwood, MS. Funeral service will be Sunday, September 1, 2024 at 2 p.m., from Still Valley Missionary Baptist Church, Louisville, MS. Visitation will be Saturday from 4 until 6 p.m. from the Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Louisville Memorial Cemetery. Beck Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Dan, was born September 11, 1939, to the parents of Dan Whitfield and Truelove Kyes Whitfield in Winston County Mississippi.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents; Wife, Gladys Baker Whitfield and one son, Andre Whitfield.
Dan is survived by; children, Vannessa (Andre) Whitfield, Don Anthony (Gwen) Whitfield, Dan (Marie) Whitfield II, Kevin (Sara) Whitfield and Jima Whitfield; grandchildren 17 ; siblings, Alberta Whitfield, Marie Whitfield and Floyd Whitfield. a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
