Drew grew up in Sturgis, MS and attended Sturgis Attendance Center, where he was an active member of the Sturgis baseball team. Drews heart was being a daddy to his daughter Denley Blake Ray, his passion was singing, and he loved Auburn Football. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Sturgis, MS.
Drew is preceded in death by his grandparents Elbert Muldrew Ray Sr. and Elizabeth Irene Ray, Willy Ray Trice, and Evelyn Virginia Trice; great grandparents Muldrew and Eddie Mae Ray, Charlie and Lodean Scarbrough, Milton and Viola Trice, Claudis and Pearl Johns.
He is survived by his daughter Denley Blake-Brooks Ray of Pope, Ms; parents Elbert Muldrew Ray Jr and Lori Ray of Monroe, Ga; Sandra Foster of Ackerman, Ms; three brothers John Alan Miller and his wife Beverly of Sturgis, Ms, Joseph Elijah (Eli) Ray of Monroe, Ga, Christopher Greg Jones of Monroe, Ga; two sister Melissa Ray Bell and her husband Heath of New Albany, Ms, Savannah Jones Hall and her husband Nick of Monroe, Ga; godbrother CeCe Cork; nieces and nephews: Mayce Villanueva husband Roberto, Carley Bell, Treylan Bell, Raegan Miller, Kaige Miller, Lexi Miller, Dawson Hall, Sawyer Ray Hall; great nephew Aspen Villanueva; a multitude of uncles, aunts and cousins.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life on Saturday February 18, 2023, at Friendship Baptist Church in Sturgis, MS. Visitation will be from 10-12 with funeral to start at 12pm.
