Funeral services for Lesley will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 25th, at First Methodist Church, with Rev. Newlie Long officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Porter Funeral Home. Interment will be in Whitehall Methodist Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Lesley was born September 10, 1981, in Columbus, MS. She was a 2000 graduate of Louisville High School, and earned her degree as a Registered Nurse at East Central Community College. She worked at Winston Medical Center at Turning Point. Lesley loved her children and never missed a sporting event they were involved in. She loved all sports especially Mississippi State Bulldogs and the Dallas Cowboys.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Joan Yarbrough, Truman Whitehead, and Jack Dempsey.
She is survived by her husband, Lenny Boatner; her parents, Susan (John) Dempsey, and Kenneth Whitehead, all of Louisville; her children, Lana Raye Boatner, Libby Jo Boatner, Annie Brooke Boatner, Tanner Ray Boatner, and Beau Alexander Boatner; her brothers, Eric (Angel) Whitehead and Jack Dempsey (Madison Hardage), both of Louisville; her uncle, Bob (Kari) Yarbrough; and two grandmothers, Rubye Whitehead of Louisville, and Mary Dempsey of Dickinson, TX.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Shaeffer, Mitch Whitehead, C. J. Boatner, Jay McMillin, Brantley Wright, Jack Wooten, Curry Black, and Michael Major. Honorary pallbearers will be Hollis Richardson, Boys of the Winston Academy Class of 2026, and the Rampage Baseball team.
