Funeral service for Mr. Danny Cleveland Maxey will be 11 AM Friday, June 18, 2021 at Longino Baptist Church with Bro. Nick Ulmer officiating. Burial will be in Longino Church Cemetery. Visitation will be at Longino Baptist Church from 5-8 PM Thursday, June 17, 2021, and Friday beginning at 9 AM until time for service. John E. Stephens Chapel is in charge.
Mr. Maxey, 78, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. He lived most of his life in Neshoba Co. He was a Navy Veteran. He was a member of Longino Baptist Church. His hobbies included fishing and farming.
He is preceded in death by his parents, H.B. “Shine” and Bessie Maxey; brother, Robert Maxey.
Survivors include wife, Lanortta Maxey of Philadelphia; daughter, Marsha Maxey Rogers (Keith) of Louisville; son, Max Maxey (Leigh) of Philadelphia; sisters, Joann Nance, Jean Thomas both of Noxapater; brother, H.B. “Bud” Maxey Jr. of Noxapater; (6) grandchildren, Sydney Boswell (Daniel), McKenzie Rogers, Hayes Maxey, Grace Maxey, Kenley McMullan, Trey McMullan; (2) great-grandchildren, Tanner Boswell, Ayden Boswell.
Pallbearers: Daniel Boswell, Doug Graham, Tyler Peterson, Matt Darby, Dan Stone, Trey McMullan.
Honorary Pallbearers: Hayes Maxey, Robert Warner, Randy Seales, Jim Houston, Tommy Pinter.
