Edith was born in Winston County, Mississippi, on April 19, 1942, to Dick and Lona Mayo Nance. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Edith loved driving the school bus and being around and caring for children. She also enjoyed sewing and caring for her daughter Sheila.
Edith is survived by her loving husband of 43 years Truman Triplett of Louisville. She is also survived by her children: Ann Carter and husband Mike of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Craig Bouchillon and wife Suzanne of Melbourne, Florida, Chris Triplett and wife Amanda, and Sheila Triplett all of Louisville. One of her greatest joys was being “Mamaw” to her eight grandchildren: Steven (Emily) Griffith, James (Mary Ryan) Griffith, Ben (Jennifer) Bouchillon, Isaac Bouchillon, Thrasher Triplett, Reed Triplett, Ryan Carter, and C. J. (Whitney) Carter. Edith is survived by nine great-grandchildren: Dustin and Ryan Griffith, Madison, Marleigh, and Lincoln Griffith, Brynleigh and Jaxon Bouchillon, and Daxton and Maverick Carter. She is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings: Maxine Reynolds, R. B. Nance, Betty Ruth Schoolar, and Clarence Nance.
Serving as pallbearers are Ben Bouchillon, Isaac Bouchillon, James Griffith, Steven Griffith, Ken Schoolar, and Richie Schoolar.
