Mr. John Irvin Haggard, 57, died Tuesday, October 15, 2013, at Neshoba County Hospital in Philadelphia, MS. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 17, at Sardis Cemetery, with Rev. Marlon Adcock officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at Porter Funeral Home.
John was born November 15, 1955, in Ackerman, MS. He was a retired rig engineer in offshore oil drilling. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and John Herbert Haggard; and a brother, John Herbert Haggard, Jr. John is survived by a son, Jonathan (Meredith) McMillin of Jackson, MS; a daughter, Amy Melissa Haggard of Starkville; and a granddaughter, Emory Haggard. Pallbearers will be Daniel Parker, Jay McMillin, Jamie McMillin, and Greg Fulton. Memorials may be made to the Neshoba County Nursing Home, Philadelphia, MS.me.
