Mrs. Bobbie Lee Whitehead, 81, died Friday, April 11, 2014, at Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville, MS. Mrs. Whitehead was born July 31, 1932, in Louisville, MS. She was a homemaker and a member of East Louisville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Albert “Bill” Whitehead; two brothers, Archie Edwards and Alvin Edwards; and six sisters, Mary Leon Schell, Pauline Chiles, Claudine Richardson, Walene Fortner, Jewell Miller, and Edna Pearl Oliver.

She is survived by a daughter, Dale (Wayne) Joiner of Louisville; a son, Albert (Nell) Whitehead of Louisville; a brother, Billy Edwards of Louisville; four grandchildren, Bridgett Peeples, Michael Joiner, Alecia Holder, and Jonathan Whitehead; and seven great grandchildren.

Mrs. Green, 83, died Saturday, April 5 ,2014 at her residence.
She was born and reared in the Nanih Waiya community. She married her husband in 1948 and moved to Florida in 1955 to work at McArthur Farms. She moved back to Nanih Waiya in 1990 where she made her home. Mrs. Green was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church. She loved to garden, can fresh vegetables and work in the flower bed.
