Mercedia Andrews

 Mercedia Andrews, 93, of Jackson, Tennessee, passed on Monday, March 9, 2026 at the Jackson-Madison General Hospital, Jackson, Tennessee. Graveside Services will be Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 11 a.m., from Little Calvary M. B. Church Cemetery, Louisville, MS. Beck Funeral Home of Louisville in charge of arrangements.

She was born November 10, 1932, in Hawthorne, FL., to her biological parents, Willie Parker Williams and Lou Ethel Williams. She was lovingly raised by her maternal aunt and uncle, Belle Andrews and Ben Andrews, who played  an instrumental role in shaping her life. 

She was preceded in death by her; parents, Willie and Lou Ethel Williams; siblings; Lula Mae, Rosa Lee, Bill Jr., Sophora, Preston, Doretha, Trudie Lee and twins Clifford and Lifford; aunt and uncle, Belle Andrews and Ben Andrews.

She leaves to cherish her memory, daughter-in-law, Mary Joyce Andrews; grandchildren, Benjamin Andrews and Charles "Chuck" Andrews; nieces, nephews and a special grand niece, Kimberley Smith, who lovingly assisted and cared for her during her final years.

Mercedia will be remembered for her warm spirit, her strong faith, her love for family and the joy she found in caring for others.
