Funeral services for Mr. Thomas William Jones, 83, of Choctaw County, will be held at Antioch Community Church in Reform, Monday, July 12, 2021. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with funeral service immediately following. Rev. Bill Hutto and Bro. Maury Jones will be officiating with interment in the church cemetery.
A native of Choctaw County, Mr. Jones was born November 12, 1937 and passed July 10, 2021 at the home of his son in Ackerman, MS. He was retired from Futorian Manufacturing Company and was a life-long member of Antioch Community Church. Mr. Jones was a son of a farmer and homemaker. He enjoyed church, working, gardening, quail hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Farrah W. Jones of Ackerman, sons, Richard (Diana) Jones of Ackerman, Maury Jones of Ackerman, Shane (Jean) Sunn of Denver, Colorado; daughters, Sheila Jones of Ackerman, Christia Graham of Kansas; brother, Lavon Jones of Reform; and sister, Carolyn (S.E.) Adams of Manassas, Virginia; 18 grandchildren; Chance Hollingsworth, Brittany (Matthew) Henderson, Daniel Jones, Lizzie Jones, Georgia McGinnis, Justice Gutterson, Amanda Jones, Mekenzie (Trey) Defelice, Clayton Jones, Kate (Zach) Kemp, Brian Curtis, Angie (Secatra) Miller, Keeley Jernigan, Jimmy Reidy, Fran Sunn, Mac Sunn, Mary Laird (Kyle) Darbonne, John Moss Sunn. 17 great-grandchildren and 1great-great grandchild with 2 great-great grandchildren on the way.
Preceding him in death are his father, Jim Howard Jones, and mother, Willie Ted Steadman, a brother, GalBren Jones and a sister, Karah Turnage, and best friend, Jimmy Edwin Steadman.
Pallbearers include Mac Sunn, John Moss Sunn, Clayton Jones, Chance Hollingsworth, Daniel Jones and Brian Curtis.
Honorary pallbearers include Gibeau Fleming, Javorie Triplett, Ranny Jones, Johnny Steadman, M.P. Busby, Wesley Gammill, and Rodney Gammill.
