Mrs. Georgia Jo Windham, 72, passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at her home in Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, July 16th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Jimmy Pender officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 A.M. until the service time at the funeral home. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery in Lake, MS. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Windham was born February 3, 1949, in Mississippi. She retired from Diamond Grove where she was an LPN, and she was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Windham; her son, Stevie Hodge; parents, Ruth Sistrunk Monk and Bill Monk; two sisters, Ann King and Mary Ladd; and three brothers, Herman Monk, Billy Wayne Monk, and Floyd Monk.
She is survived by her daughter, Tonya (Edward) Mayo of Louisville; four sisters, Helen Luke of Pulaski, MS, Etoile Smith of Forest, MS, Lola Dean Elmore of Forest, MS, and Rachel Brooks of Forest, MS; two grandchildren, Dalton Mayo and Camille Mayo; and a sister-in-law, Betty Miller of Center, TX.
Pallbearers will be David Gookin, Billy Catt, Will Bane, Nelson Tarvin, Joey Monk, and Johnny Wilson.
