Beverly June Black

Beverly June Black, 79, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, November 5, 2018, at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, Mississippi. Visitation will be Thursday, November 8, at Nowell Massey Funeral Home in Louisville from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, November 9 in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Mangrum and Rev. Jerry Lundy officiating. Interment will follow in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Hill officiating.

June was born July 1, 1939, to Zelf Noel and Lena Sims Williamson. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. She loved being outside gardening and working in her flowers; but her favorite pastime was being on the tractor running the bush hog.

June is survived by her children: David Alton Foster and wife Lexie of Louisville; Debra June Givens of Camden, Arkansas; Donna Kay Hemphill and husband David; Diana Lynn Brown and husband Edward; and De Lesa Dawn Mayo and husband Terry all of Louisville. She is also survived by Bobby Lee Black and his children: Michael Lee Black and wife Debra of Austin, Texas; John Wade Black and wife Kelley; Mary Elizabeth Edwards and husband Kerry; Julia Rhee Hankins and husband Glynn; and Stefan Lee Black and wife Lori all of Louisville. One of her greatest joys was being “Granny or GranGran or MeMaw” to 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind to mourn her passing her siblings: Enola Maxine Smith; Rebecca Ann Mitchell; Linda Kay Cooper; Nancy Thellis Fulcher (Steve); Janet LaDell Davis (Pat); and Donald Sims Williamson (Sandra); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. June was preceded in death by her husband Alton Theo Foster; son Daniel Keith Foster; her parents; grandson Donnie Howard Givens; great-grandson Jace Daniel Moore; and her brother Zelf Harold Williamson.

Serving as pallbearers will be Alton David Foster, Austin Davis Foster, Joseph Aaron Givens, Shawn Keith Foster, Daniel Seth Foster, Alton Lamar Goodin, and Christopher Allen Nowell.
