Lucille Turner

Agnes Lucille Prisock Turner, 90, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018, in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. until service time with Rev. David Keen officiating. Interment will follow in Perkinsville Cemetery.


Lucille was born in Winston County on November 12, 1927, to Dillard and Lilly Pugh Prisock. As a dedicated member of Bethel Baptist Church, she loved being around her church family. She was retired from the Spartus Corporation; she very much enjoyed her hobbies of sewing and quilting; and she loved flowers.

Lucille is survived by her two daughters, Benita Moravec and husband, Mike of Pickensville, Alabama; and Brenda Leone, of Louisville; her two sons, Benny Turner and wife, Vickie, also of Louisville; and Bester Turner and wife, Mary Ann, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. One of her greatest joys was being “MawMaw” to a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind to mourn her passing a sister, Louise Elliot, of Quitman, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Turner, Jr.; her daughter, Beverly Johns; and her parents.

Serving as pallbearers are Brad Kwasniewski, Larry Lloyd, Josh Johns, Zack Johns, Brian Stevenson, Corey Stanton.
