Mildred Carr McLeod, 94, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Winston Medical Center in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be Sunday, July 13, 2014, at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 14, 2014, in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Grady Crowell and Rev. Larry Haggard officiating. Interment will follow in Rocky Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.Mrs. McLeod was born on September 20, 1919; she was the sixth of 11 children born to Annie Mae Ingram Carr and Robert Lafayette Carr. She was a member of Rocky Hill United Methodist Church and she was a homemaker.
Mrs. McLeod is survived by her children, Jean Boydstun; Johnny McLeod and wife, Paulette; and Joyce Hall, all of Louisville; and by her sister, Maxine Hurt, of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. She has eight grandchildren: Christy McLeod; Jamie Boydstun; Lee Boydstun and wife, Jennifer; Annice Hill and husband, Scott; Mary Harrison and husband, Robert; Lee Frederick, Jr.; Joann Clark and husband, Tim; and J. J. Hall and wife, Patti. Mrs. McLeod has 12 great-grandchildren: Nikki Davis and husband, Michael; John Michael Hill; A. J. Clark; Amy, Sam, and Jed Hall; Rebecca Boydstun; Daniel and Olivia Smith; Tyler and Kaleigh Frederick; and Garrett Harrison. She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. McLeod; her son, Jack McLeod; her parents; two grandchildren, Clark Hall and Amy Boydstun; her great-grandson, John William Hall; four sisters, and five brothers.
Serving as pallbearers are J. J. Hall, Tim Clark, A. J. Clark, Lee Boydstun, John Michael Hill, and Lee Frederick, Jr. Memorials may be given to Winston Community Development Disaster Relief Fund, Renasant Bank, P. O. Box 389, Louisville, MS 39339.
