Ina Mae Jackson

Ina Mae Jackson, 96, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, July 27, 2014, at Brooklyn Hall Personal Care Home in Mathiston, Mississippi. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Rook and Rev. Lawrence Runnels officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Jackson was born on July 1, 1918, to Laura Moore Chamblee and William Robert Chamblee. She was a member of Singleton Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Jimmy Jackson and wife, Helen Marie, of Louisville; and Jeff Jackson and wife, Wanda, of Winfield, Alabama. Mrs. Jackson has 11 grandchildren: Scott Jackson and wife, Shannon; Gregg Jackson and wife, Dina; Teresa Jo Berger and husband, Jeff; James L. Collins; Kimblee Collins; David Collins and wife, Julie; Ashleigh Goodwin and husband, Jason; Will Jackson; Amanda Cornett; Misty Thompson and husband, Brian; and Tommy Fulgham and wife, Tammy. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her husband, James B. “Jim” Jackson; her daughter, Elsie Fulgham; her parents; three brothers; and one sister.

Serving as pallbearers will be Will Jackson, Brian Thompson, Scott Jackson, Gregg Jackson, Tommy Fulgham, and Jason Goodwin. Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
