Lucy Virginia Hernandez, 35, of Carthage, Mississippi, passed away following a vehicle accident on Friday, July 25, 2014, in Leake County, Mississippi. A memorial service is tentatively set for 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2014, at Salem Baptist Church in Leake County.
Lucy was born in Louisville, Mississippi, on December 24, 1978, to Gloria Kuhn Gheen and Michael L. Gheen. She was a member of Maranatha Fellowship Church and was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Solis Gerardo “Willy” Hernandez; her daughter, Alicia Jazmin Hernandez; and three sons, Danny Franklin Arnold, Jr; Miguel Antonio Hernandez; and Christopher Diego Hernandez, all of Carthage. Lucy is also survived by her sisters, Dianne Phillips of Carthage; and Sheila Sullivan of Collinsville, Mississippi; and by three brothers, Doug Pery of Pataskala, Ohio; Mitch Gheen, Jr. of Carthage; and Terry Kuhn of Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her son, Isaiah Flores; and her parents.
Memorials may be given to Nowell-Massey Funeral Home to help defray the cost of the funeral expenses.
