Thaniel Anthony, 73, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2014, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Arrangements for a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Mr. Anthony was born on February 16, 1941, to Ola Eakes Anthony and George L. Anthony. He was a member of South Louisville Baptist Church. He retired after serving in the National Guard for 23 years and he was a self-employed business owner.
Thaniel is survived by his wife of 48 years, Dianne Anthony, of Louisville. He is also survived by four daughters: Cindy McKay and husband, Jay, of Madison, Mississippi; Gaye Anthony of Louisville; Tonya Gardner and husband, Jimmy, of Laurel, Mississippi; and Nikki Anthony of Dallas, Texas; and by his brother, Lee Anthony and wife, Tawanna, of Starkville, Mississippi. Mr. Anthony has four grandchildren: Paige McKay, Connor McKay, Jessy Gardner, and Ty Gardner. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Reynolds; his brother, Lamar Anthony; and his parents.
