Frances Gaddis, 81, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, March 28, 2014, at Winston Medical Center in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be Sunday, March 30, 2014, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Nowell Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Funeral services will be held in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, March 31, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Mark Thompson, Rev. Gerald Branum, and Rev. Jessie Ray officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, in the Mississippi Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Newton, Mississippi.
Mrs. Gaddis was born on November 15, 1932, to Willie Elizabeth Patterson Richardson and Clem Richardson. During her career, she was a clerk/typist employed by the United States Government and later she was a homemaker. She was a member of New Covenant Assembly of God Church and a member of the Gideon’s Auxiliary.
Frances is survived by her husband of 53 years, Roger Gaddis, of Louisville; and three sons, William Roger Gaddis, Jr., and wife, Lisa, of Rosamond, California; Richard Gaddis and wife, Kay, of Hickory, Mississippi; and Joseph Gaddis and wife, Anne Kristine, of Montgomery, Alabama. She has eight grandchildren: Candace, Allison, Michaela, Charles, Thomas, Susanna, Emily, and Kristian Gaddis. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Ora Mae Wagle and Irene Bearden.
