Dwight Bruce Bain, 55, died Friday, May 20, 2011, at his home in Ethel. He was a store manager for Home Depot. He was born Jan. 28, 1956, in Kosciusko to Quitman Sr. and Ella Mae Burchfield Bain of Ethel. He spent his life in retail starting at Gibson’s in Kosciusko. He then spent 18 years in management for Wal-Mart and almost 15 years with Home Depot in Tupelo. At the time of his death, he was the manager in Tupelo. He was a good father, grandfather, brother, friend and co-worker who will be missed by all.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko with Doyle Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in the Marvin Chapel Cemetery. Jordan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two sons, Dwight Bain and wife Jennifer and Russell Bain and fiancé Lauren Hamman of Ridgeland; one grandson Langston Bain of Jackson; his brothers Roy Bain and wife Jean of Philadelphia, Ralph Bain, David Bain and wife, Wanda of Kosciusko, Quitman Bain Jr., and wife Nadine of Kosciusko and Danny Bain and fiancé Shirley of Dadeville, Ala.; his sisters, Edna Ray Bell and husband Terrell of Louisville and Sharon Smith and husband Zane of Kempner, Texas; a sister-in-law, Patricia Bain of Kosciusko; several aunts and uncles; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Marlyn “Pete” Bain; and an infant brother, Byron Lee Bain.
Pallbearers will be Josh Leslie, Paul Clark, James Nichols, Ed Brunt, David White and Ronnie Tisdale.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
