Barbara was born July 9, 1953, to John Henry and Beatrice Watkins Stevenson in Louisville, Mississippi. She enjoyed working in her flowers, cooking, and sewing. Barbara never met a stranger—she loved to talk! She dearly loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.
Barbara is survived by her daughters Michelle Tanksley of Louisville and Shannon Broussard (Oliver Bolt) of Noxapater. One of her greatest joys was being “Nanny” to her grandchildren: Skyler (Darrell) Moore, Tyler (Beth) Tanksley, Alexis (Kevin) Warner, Brandon Broussard, and Trenton Broussard. She also leaves behind her seven great-grandchildren: Quinton Tanksley, Sterling Tanksley, Kyler Walker, Aria Moore, Sadie Warner, Waylon Warner, and Collin. Barbara was preceded in death by husband Paul Edward Chunn, her parents, and her brother Harvey Eugene Stevenson.
Serving as pallbearers are Oliver Bolt, Brandon Broussard, Lee Broussard, Darrell Moore, Wes Tanksley, and Kevin Warner. Tyler Tanksley will serve as an honorary pallbearer. The family requests that memorials in memory of Barbara be given to Nowell Massey Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
