Elizabeth Laine, 82, passed away on Saturday, December 24, 2011, at Choctaw County Medical Center, Ackerman, Mississippi. 
Funeral service will be Saturday, at 1 p.m., from the Beck Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation wil be friday from 12 noon until 6 p.m., from the Beck Funeral Home
She leaves to cherish her precious memory, 5 sons, Jerry (Pearl) of Brooksville, MS., Smith(Barbara) of Louisville, MS., Tommie Ray of Meridian, MS., Willlie Earl (Sherrie) and John (Sallie) of Ackerman, MS., 2 daughters, Pearl and Rosie both of Louisville, Mississippi. 2 brothers, Willie Lee Orr of Brooksville, MS. and J. C. Mrs. Billie Peterson, 85, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2011, at her residence in LouisvilleMississippi. Mrs. Peterson was born November 18, 1926.  She was a homemaker and a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Mrs. Peterson is survived by her husband, Billy Peterson, of Louisville, Mississippi; her daughter, Vickie Corkren and husband, Jeff, of Raymond, Mississippi; and her son, Rickey Peterson and wife, Dixie, of Phoenix City, Alabama.  She also has four grandchildren:  Landon Corkren, Heath Peterson, Haleigh Peterson, and Heather Peterson and one great-grandchild, Kason Peterson.  She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Hershel Smith Brannon; and her sister, Louise Bolton.

Dr. Thomas F. Walker

Dr. Thomas F. Walker, 79, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, December 26, 2011, at his residence in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi, on Wednesday, December 28, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 29, 2011, at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville, Mississippi, with Dr. Brett Golson and Rev. Christopher Walker officiating.  Interment will be in Murphy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. 
Dr. Walker was born April 16, 1932, and has lived in Winston County since 1958 with his wife of 60 years, Gladys Butler Walker.  He was a Doctor of Chiropractic serving those in our community for 45 years.  Dr. Walker was a member of First Baptist Church of Louisville where he served as a deacon as well as on numerous church committees.  He was also a member of the Louisville Business Men’s Club, Louisville Lions Club, Louisville Jaycees, and the Mississippi Chiropractic Association from 1958 to 2011.  As a 26-year member of the Mississippi State Board of Chiropractic Examiners, Dr. Walker held the offices of  Chairman and Vice-Chair and was elected to serve as the Executive Secretary.  He was appointed to serve on this State Board by five governors.  He was also a Fellow in the International College of Chiropractic.  He answered the call of his country by serving in the United States Army from 1949 to 1953 during the Korean Conflict.   In addition to his wife, Dr. Walker is survived by three children:  Dr. Richard Walker and wife, Barbara, of Louisville, Mississippi; Deborah Walker also of Louisville, Mississippi; and Timothy Walker and wife, Bridget, of Brandon, Mississippi.  Dr. Walker is also survived by  four grandchildren:  Christopher Walker and wife, Carla, of Birmingham, Alabama; Alison Walker of Louisville, Mississippi; Megan Walker and Katelin Walker both of Brandon, Mississippi.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Artie G. and Amy Angie Walker; his sister, Hazel Oletha Klutts; and three infant brothers.Pallbearers will be Karl Boyer, Doug Dean, Michael Cravens, Mark Donald, Jake Donald, Kyle Donald, Terry Carter, and Kevin Ryals.  Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the Wrinkled Roosters, the Deacons of First Baptist Church of Louisville, and all Doctors of Chiropractic in attendance.    Memorials may be given to The Baptist Children's Village, P. Michael "Dip" Pendleton

Mr. Michael "Dip" Pendleton, 44, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2011, at Winona Manor Nursing Home in Winona, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi, on Monday, December 26, 2011, from 5 p.m. to 8 p. m. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2011, at Indian Springs Assembly of God Cemetery of Louisville, Mississippi, with Rev. Dwayne Barrett officiating. 
Mr. Pendleton was born December 28, 1966. He was a mechanic and was a member of First Baptist Church of Louisville.
Mr. Pendleton is survived by two sisters, Wanda Wilson and husband, Tony, of Carthage, Mississippi; and Anita Pendleton of Noxapater, Mississippi, as well as his brother, Jimmy Bidwell, also of Noxapater, Mississippi. He is also survived by four nieces: Danielle Hawley, Samantha Wilson, Stephanie Pendleton, and Brittney Pendleton, and his nephew, Kaleb Vowell. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Thomas and Avoy Smith Pendleton.

Suber; and her parents, Maggie Taylor and William P. McGee. She is survived by two daughters, Margaret Ouzts of Newburyport, MA; and Martha Fawcett of Ladys Island, SC. Mr. Carl Allbritton, 80, passed away on Friday, December 23, 2011, at his residence in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi, on Tuesday, December 27, 2011, from 5 p.m. to 8 p. m. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville, Mississippi, with Rev. Franklin Smith and Rev. David Reeves officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. 
Mr. Allbritton was born June 26, 1931. He was a retired instructor and was employed by Greenville Mills for 40 years. Mr. Allbritton was a member of Indian Springs Assembly of God Church in Louisville.
In addition to his wife, Alice, Mr. Allbritton is survived by his son, Danny Allbritton both of Louisville, Mississippi. He is also survived by two sisters, Grace White and husband, John; and Mary Gordon all of Greenville, Mississippi, as well as his brother, H. L. Ruppe and wife, Lillian, of Metairie, Louisiana. Mr. Allbritton also has two step-sisters, Nellie Jones of North Carrolton, Mississippi; and Pearl Johnson of Inverness, Mississippi. He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred Allbritton and Lottie Allbritton Phillips and W. D. Phillips, and his son, Jerry Allbritton.

 Mr. Paul Michael Nance, 50, died Saturday, December 24, 2011, at Winston Medical Center in Louisville. Mr. Joe Keith Partridge, 77, died Friday, December 9, 2011, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P. M. Sunday, December 11th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Gary Jackson, Rev. Olyn Roberts, and Rev. James Mills officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Partidge was born May 29, 1934, in Neshoba County, MS. He was a street superintendent for the City of Louisville for 30 years, a linesman for Louisville Electric System for 23 years, and a member of Evergreen Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin A. Partridge and Loie Dell Carr.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Wylie Partidge of Louisville; a son, Joe K. (Marsha) Partridge Jr. of Louisville; two daughters, Cassandra Chancellor of Louisville, and Linda Inman of Horn Lake, MS; one brother, Tommy Partridge of Austin, TX; three grandchildren, Leigha Chancellor, Leslie Taylor, and Loree Duett; and four great grandchildren, Chance Taylor, Coley Taylor, Emma Duett, and Joe Wylie Duett.

Christine Alexander

Mrs. Christine Goodin Alexander, 84, went home to heaven on Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at her home in Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 10th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Gerald Branum and Rev. Jim Whitney officiating. Interment will be in Coy Methodist Church Cemetery in Kemper County. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Alexander was born January 30, 1927 in Winston County, MS. She was a devout Christian; a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother; an avid gardener; and animal enthusiast. Mrs. Alexander loved people and never met a stranger, and was a great southern cook famous for her homemade biscuits.

She is survived by two daughters, Jolynn (Jim) Whitney of Olive Branch, MS, and Madeline (Gerald) Branum of Waterloo, Belgium; one son, Ferrell (Shelia) Alexander of Philadelphia, MS; one brother, Burlon Goodin of Philadelphia, MS; 9 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dave Goodin and Eva Mae Tucker; her husband, English Muldrow Alexander; and two brothers, Royce Winford Goodin and James Edward Goodin.

Mrs. Corrie Lee Brown, 97, died Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at her home in Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Saturday, December 10th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Mrs. Brown was born January 24, 1914, in Louisville, MS. She was a retired bookkeeper for Tillman Drugs, and co-owner of Brown Machinery Service. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her grandchildren, James T. (Christy) Brown and Susan Leigh (Brett) Brewer, both of Memphis, TN; and 5 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.T. Ingram and Allye Dempsey; her husband, T.Z. Brown; her son, Tommy Brown; her daughter-in-law Joan Brown; two brothers, Jack Ingram and James Ingram; and one sister, Eva Mae Oxford.

Steve Robertson

Mr. Dewey E. “Steve” Robertson, 84, died Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at the Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, December 9th, at Vernon Assembly Of God Church, with Rev. Brian McDonald, Rev. Bobby Joe Butler, and Rev. Lee Watson officiating. Interment will be in Vernon Assembly Of God Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Porter Funeral Home, and from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M. Friday at the church.

Mr. Robertson was born March 2, 1927, in Winston County, MS. He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a retired welder for Taylor Machine Works, a Mason, and a farmer. He was a member of Vernon Assembly Of God Church.

He is survived by his daughter, Jackie (Chad) Goodin of Louisville; four sisters, Margie Gully of Rogers, AR, Mavis Hanna, Marion Bateman, and Maxine Robertson, all of Louisville; three brothers, Paul Barron Robertson of California, Wilbur Robertson Jr. and Harold Robertson, both of Louisville; and 8 grandchildren, Deanna Swearingen, Allyson Swearingen, Caleb (Jenny) Swearingen, Chandler Swearingen, Ashton Smith, Jaclyn Presley, Amera Mussa, and Kaleigh Swearingen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur E. Robertson and Vera Stokes; and three brothers, Willie Robertson, Herman Robertson, and Floyd Robertson.

Pallbearers will be Caleb Swearingen, Chad Goodin, Sawyer Ishee, Chandler Swearingen, Bobby Winchester, Kenny Joe Hanna, and Daniel Robertson. Honorary Pallbearers will be J.P. Fulton, Lamar Parkes, Bob Goodin, and Jerry Hatcher.

Elizabeth "Beth" Oaks

Ms. Elizabeth “Beth” Oaks, 67, passed away on Friday, December 2, 2011, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Centerin Jackson, Mississippi. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2011, at Campground United Methodist Church in Louisville, Mississippi, with Rev. Larry Haggard officiating. Interment will be in Campground United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Ms. Oaks was born June 19, 1944. She was a member of Campground United Methodist Church, and she was a teacher in the Louisville Municipal School District, from which she retired.

Ms. Oaks is survived by three cousins: Becky Waddell and husband, Larry; Wilson “Bubba” Young , all of Noxapater, Mississippi; and Pam Blanton, and husband, Jerome, of Louisville, Mississippi. She is preceded in death by her parents, Burton and Elizabeth Frances Young Oaks.
