Mr. Paul G. Eichstaedt, 70, of Louisville, Mississippi, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi, on Friday, April 29, 2011, from 12:00 p.m. until service time. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 29, 2011, at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Trent Jaudon officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with military honors. He was born on December 29, 1940, to Paul and Marie Eber Eichstaedt. Mr. Eichstaedt was a retired security guard at Georgia Pacific and a member of South Louisville Baptist Church. He enlisted and served several years in the United States Army.
Mr. Eichstaedt is survived by one stepdaughter, Donna Lackey of Philadelphia, Mississippi; one stepson, Robert Laird of Louisville, Mississippi; one sister, Mary Ann Ruge; and two brothers, Fred and Alfred Eichstaedt. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Marie Eber Eichstaedt.

Mrs. Hatcher was born February 22nd, 1933 in Winston County. She was the retired owner of Stallo Grocery, and a member of Plattsburg Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sambo Hatcher, a son, Paul Hatcher, and her parents, Warren Levi Deweese and Nancy Blount.
She is survived by her sons, David (Diane) Hatcher, of Philadelphia, and Barry Hatcher, of Noxapater; a brother, Warren Lee Deweese, of Noxapater; 7 grandchildren, Leigh Ann White, Lindsey Joiner, Josh Hatcher, Paul David Hatcher, John Hatcher, Duey Hatcher, and Katy Hatcher; and 8 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Catherine Alewine “Boots” Fulcher, 87, died Saturday, April 23, 2011, at her home in Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 26th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Ronnie Fulcher officiating. Interment will be in Crystal Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Monday at Porter Funeral Home.
Mrs. Fulcher was born September 10, 1923, in Louisville, MS. She was a retired employee of Spartus Corporation, and was a member of Crystal Ridge Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John R. “Rat” Fulcher; and two sons, Danny Fulcher and Jerry Fulcher.
She is survived by a son, Jimmy Fulcher of Louisville; three grandchildren, Randy Fulcher, Madeline Fulcher, Lisa McMillan; and six great grandchildren, Braydon & Addison Fulcher, and Abigail, Olivia, Brittany, and Sterling McMillan.

During World War II, he served in the United States Army, from which he later retired.
Mr. Black is survived by one stepdaughter, Sherry Ann Clark of Louisville, Mississippi; six stepsons: Billy Wade Clark and wife, Faye, of Louisville, Mississippi, Thomas Walter Clark and wife, Ann, of McCool, Mississippi, James Lamar Clark and wife, Jamie, of Noxapater, Mississippi, Jerry Michael Clark and wife, Betty Jo, of McCool, Mississippi, Gary Alon Clark and wife, Crystal, of Louisville, Mississippi, and Keith Clark and wife, Kathy, of McCool, Mississippi; one sister, Faye Tollison and one brother, C. L. Black, both of Louisville, Mississippi; one sister-in-law; Ida Mae Teer Black of McCool, Mississippi; 14 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Zola Black; parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Winston Black, Sr.; two sisters and six brothers including Ivy Willard Black, who passed away on April 19, 2011.

CHRIS VOWELL Mr. Parker, 77, of Noxapater, MS died Saturday, April 2, 2011 at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Winston County. Mr. Parker was Pentecostal by faith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired truck driver. Survivors include his daughters, Sue Stevens of Philadelphia, Linda Parker and Judy Alexander, both of Noxapater and Donna Parker of Vaiden; sons, Billy Parker of Ethel, Wendell Parker of Philadelphia and Jimmy Parker of Preston; 23 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren ; two great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Hazel Collins of Noxapater, Brenda Gentry of Carrollton, AL, Sandra Leach of Brandon, Teresa Thrasher of Jackson and a brother, Keith Parker of Philadelphia. Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Parker; son, Bud Parker and daughter, Joy Lynn Parker.

Frances McGahey Easley

Mrs. Frances McGahey Easley, 97, died Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, April 8th, at New Hope Methodist Cemetery, with Rev. Mike Childs officiating. Interment will be in New Hope Cemetery, with Porter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Easley was born June 14, 1913, the daughter of Ida Pearl Hill and John Clyde McGahey. She and her husband owned and operated Easley’s Grocery for many years. She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Easley, and a son, Bobby Frank Easley. She is survived by her daughter, Yvette Daffron of McKenzie, TN; a son, Jerry Easley of Louisville, MS; a daughter-in-law, Faye Easley of Louisville; 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the New Hope Cemetery Fund.

Jacob Wayne Nowell

Mr. Jacob Wayne Nowell, 31, died Monday, April 4th, in Memphis, TN. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, April 8th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Larry Haggard officiating. Interment will be in East County Line Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Porter Funeral Home. Mr. Nowell was born December 22, 1979. He was a resident of Starkville, where he had worked as a laser cutter in the sheet metal industry. He is survived by his mother and step-father, Jennifer and Johnny Lindsey of Sturgis, MS; a son, Luke Wayne Nowell of Starkville; his grandmother, Iora S. Lavergne of Sturgis, MS; a brother, Joseph Therel Nowell of Collinsville, MS; a sister, Rachel Nowell Stephens of Starkville, MS, step-sister, Shawna Lindsey of Montgomery, AL, and 4 nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Wayne Nowell; paternal grandparents, Therel and Adelaide Nowell, and maternal grandfather, Hillman Lavergne. He greeted all those he met with an infectious smile and had a joy for living. He was happiest when spending time with his beautiful son Luke. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Terri Hudspeth

Ms. Terri Hudspeth, 49, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2011, at her residence in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi, on Tuesday, April 5, 2011, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Crystal Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Crystal Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. Born August 16, 1961, Ms. Hudspeth was a teacher and was of the Baptist faith. She graduated from West Point High School in May, 1979. She then attended Mississippi State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1982. Later she attended Nichols State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana, where she received her Master’s degree in 1987. Also in 1987, Ms. Hudspeth was named as an Outstanding Young American in Louisiana. She taught and worked with Special Children for 24 years. She was a great teacher but she was more than that. She fed these children when they came to school hungry and she took them home when they had no way home after school. She was completely dedicated to them. Ms. Hudspeth is survived by her parents, Doc and Minnie Hudspeth of Louisville, Mississippi; one brother, Richard Hudspeth and wife, Jennifer, of Madison, Mississippi; two nephews, Will and Ethan Hudspeth; two nieces, Sara and Bonnie Hudspeth; seven aunts; two uncles; and a host of cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Willie J. and Bytha Flake and Olen and Bessie Hudspeth as well as her uncle, George Flake. Pallbearers will be Jimmy Flake, Ronnie Flake, Carl Flake, Ray McBrayer, Mike Robertson, and Jerry Hill. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Mrs. Emma Jean Livingston, 80, passed away at her residence in Louisville on Friday, April 1, 2011. Mrs. Barbara Ann Gamble, 58, died Friday, April 1, 2011, at her home in Louisville. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Mrs. Gamble was born March 23, 1953, in Winston County. Gailya Bright Howard

Gailya Bright Howard, 77, passed away on March 31, 2011 at her residence in Sturgis. She was a homemaker and member of Big Creek Methodist Church and a member of Bradley Homemakers Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel Rube Bright and Stella Mae Fulgham Bright and sister, Molly Jeffries. She is survived by her husband, William R. (Bill) Howard of Sturgis; daughter, Marsha D’Boni (Dave) of Gautier; sons, Derrell Fulgham (Charlotte) of Symsonia, Ky., Bill Howard (Denise) of Starkville, and Gary Howard of Gautier; sister, Jackie James of Starkville; grandchildren, Brian Fulgham, Colby Howard; Adam Fulgham, Presley Howard, Amanda Eekhof, Jennifer Heath and Dylan Howard and six great-grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Howard is scheduled for Friday, April 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Welch Funeral Home in Starkville. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 2, at 10 a.m. at Big Creek Methodist Church in Sturgis. Burial will be in the Big Creek Methodist Church Cemetery.
