Kobi Kenyamma Mitchell

 Kobi Kenyamma Mitchell, 52, of Macon, Mississippi, passed on Monday, June 29, 2026 in Jackson, Mississippi. Funeral Service will be Friday, July 10, 2026 at 11 a.m., at Beck Funeral Home, 226 North St., Louisville, MS 39339. Visitation will be Thursday, from 4 until 6 p.m., from the Funeral Home. Burial will be Monday, July 13, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 248 Honor Circle, Newton, MS 39345. Beck Funeral Home of Louisville in charge of arrangements.

Kobi was born on December 22, 1973, to Mr. and Mrs. Shellie Mitchell. He was the fourth child born to this union. Kobi was reared in Shuqualak, MS, and attended New Jerusalem Church as a youth. 

Kobi served in both the Mississippi and Texas Air National Guard, completing six tours and retiring after 20 years in 2012.

Kobi was preceded in death by his father and older brother.

Kobi leaves to cherish his memory and achievements; his wife, Maria Encarnacion Agudelo Cuartas; two sons, Tristan and Colin; his mother, Audrey Mitchell; two sisters, Carla (Ted) Edmond and Chaffie (Michael) Gibbs; one sister in law, Veronica Mitchell; and a adopted sister, Rita Eichelberger; four nieces, Michaela, Tieraney, Kadence and Teri Madison; four nephews, Chauncey, Darius, Scott, and Micah; and best friend, Kawme Gibson; aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, neighbors, and co-workers;
