Willie Earl Stevenson

Willie Earl Stevenson passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2025, at the age of 80, at his home in Louisville, Mississippi, with his loving family by his side. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 21 at Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 22 at 2:00 p.m. in the Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. David Keen officiating. Willie was born March 24, 1945, to Coy and Eunice Garrard Stevenson in Winston County, Mississippi. He was a member of Murphy Creek Church and lived a life rooted in faith, hard work, and family. He loved farming and tending his garden, found great joy in hunting and fishing, and was happiest when he was busy working in his diesel mechanic shop—he was never one to sit still. Some of his most treasured moments were spent in the shop alongside his best sidekick and only grandson, Braden, sharing time, knowledge, and laughter that will be forever cherished.

Willie is survived by his wife Dorothy Dempsey Stevenson and son Brian Stevenson and wife Kristi all of Louisville, Mississippi. One of his greatest joys was being “PawPaw” to his four grandchildren: Jordan (Ethan) VanLandingham, Braden Stevenson, Lauren Littrell, and Nicole Littrell. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren: Hadley and Mavrick. He also leaves behind his sister, Shirley Strait; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. Willie Earl was preceded in death by his daughter Tammy Littrell; his parents; and his sister, Betty Crowell.

Serving as pallbearers are TJ Prisock, Jay Rives, Sid Massey, Roy Taylor, Lee Brown, and Scott Taylor. In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family requests that memorials be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital online at stjude.org.
