Fred White is preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, two brothers, his wife, and one son-in-law.
Fred White was born in Winston County, MS to the late Walter Lee and Ida Lee Flake White on April 9, 1937. He grew up in the Ellison Ridge community and attended the Ellison Ridge school. He began farming in Winston County and later moved to the Shuqualak, MS area where he began working for Delta Shuqualak Brick (later called Boral Brick) until the plant closed. After a brief recuperation period for back problems, he began working at Barge Lumber Company in Macon until his retirement. After he retired, Fred farmed near his home in the Macedonia Community outside of Shuqualak. Of all of the jobs that he had, his favorite jobs were rocking his grandchildren and pushing them in the swing. Fred loved to spend time with his family. He also enjoyed gardening and just working and staying busy. He enjoyed hunting, especially rabbit and deer hunting. He loved to hear the dogs running the deer and rabbits.
He is survived by his seven children: Darlene (Johnny) Black; Beverly Rigdon; Linda (James) Higginbotham; Lisa (Terry) Rigdon; Richie (Brenda) White; Christi (Tim) Higginbotham and Michael (Sarah) White. He is also survived 27 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind four sisters: Glenda Thomas, Janie Reynolds, Janelle Bracken, and Carol Bullard.
