Jeannette Sasser Crocker

Jeannette Sasser Crocker, 69, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2019, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenny White officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service from 1 p.m. until service time at Nowell Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Interment will follow at a later date.

Jeannette was born December 11, 1949, to William Richard and Louise Clark Sasser. For many years, she cared for others as a nursing assistant at Neshoba General Nursing Home in Philadelphia, Mississippi, as well as other nursing homes throughout her career. She dearly loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.

Jeannette is survived by her husband of 28 years Bobby Crocker of Noxapater, Mississippi; and by four children: Charlie Alexander and wife Sue also of Noxapater; Angie Boykin and husband Charlie of Sebastopol, Mississippi; Albert McVay and wife Angie of Noxapater; and Josh Creekmore and wife Danielle of Preston, Mississippi. She is also survived by her sister Carolyn Estracca of DeKalb, Mississippi; and her brother Donnie Sasser and wife Janet of Philadelphia. One of her greatest joys was being “MaMaw J” to her ten grandchildren: Joseph Burkes; Crystal Gilmore; Stacie Strickland (Jeff Wilcher); Kimberly Bates (Jerry Higgins); Charlie Alexander; Dustin McVay; Samantha McVay; Brantley Creekmore; Mason Creekmore; and Amy Black. She also leaves behind 20 great-grandchildren: Sierra Burkes; Haley, Amber and Dusty Gilmore; Hannah Runnels; Clayton Strickland; Alisa Strickland; Rusty Bates; Michael Bates; Angel Bates; Zachary Bates; Cody Alexander; Adrianna and Grace Alexander; Makenzie McVay; Roper McVay; Makala Yarbrough; Lakeland and Anniston Presley; and Carley Swindle. She was preceded in death by her son Richard Kevin Alexander; her parents; and three brothers Richard, Jerry, and Ronnie Sasser.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be given to Nowell Massey Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
