James Paul Eaves


James Paul Eaves, 62, passed away on Friday, September 16, 2016, at his residence in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be Sunday, September 18, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 19, 2016, in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Marlon Adcock and Rev. Dewayne Kelsey officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson Field Cemetery.

Paul was born July 15, 1953, to Aubrey Young and Thelma Richardson Eaves. He was a member of Zion Chapel Pentecostal Church and he enjoyed joking with others and pulling pranks! In 1971, he began his career at Taylor Machine Works as a welder. He served as a board member and the recording secretary of the United Steel Workers of America Local 7772. After working 43 years, he retired as a material handler. Paul dearly loved his family; he was an avid gun collector; and he loved hunting and fishing.

Mr. Eaves is survived by his three sons: Jamie Eaves, Michael Eaves, and Matt Eaves; and his grandson, Jason Eaves, all of Louisville. Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Tammy Bounds Eaves; his parents; and his brothers, Wayne, Bobby, and Myron Eaves.

Serving as pallbearers will be Stephen Barrier, Jason Eaves, Steven Eaves, Brian Garrard, Scotty Hemphill, and Tim Hemphill. Honorary pallbearers are Tim Eaves and Stokey Stokes.

Memorial contributions in honor of Paul may be given to Jackson Field Cemetery, Louisville, MS 39339
