Mrs. Lawson was born May 2, 1957, in Louisville, MS. She was a 1974 graduate of Winston Academy, a graduate of Mississippi University for Women, and received her nursing degree from the University Medical Center. She was employed with Sta-Home Hospice, and was a member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James R. & Barbara McMillin; a sister, Julie McMillin Sloan; and her grandparents, Marie Loden, Gaines Loden, and Burris William & Mattie Rene McMillin; and her first husband, Dr. Carey Wise.
She is survived by three children, Barbara Lawson of Louisville, Kirk Lawson of Louisville, and Christopher Lawson of Kilmichael; and their father, Roger Lawson; and a brother, Jamie (Lisa) McMillin.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan McMillin, Daniel McMillin, Jay McMillin, Paul McMillin, Melvin Chase, and Britt Hamill.
