James "Dut" Edwards

James "Dut" Edwards, 84, passed away surrounded by his loving wife, Tina, and his family on Monday, December 30, 2013, at his residence in Louisville, Mississippi.
Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home of Louisville on Wednesday, January 1, 2014, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Thursday at the church from 1 p.m. until service time. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2014, at Liberty Universalist Church with Rev. Glynn Barker officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Universalist Church Cemetery.

Dut was born September 11, 1929, to Willie Sue Ivy Edwards and William HenryEdwards. He was a member of Bevill Hill United Methodist Church and he was a truck driver while also owning a saw mill, "Mr. Dut's Mill". Dut loved hunting and fishing. He was once a dirt track driver (Car #8-Ball and The Black Widow) and his children picked up his love of racing and the legacy continues with Car #5. He also enjoyed and loved riding his 4-wheeler.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, "Miss" Tina Livingston Edwards of Louisville; his sons, Jim "Cowboy" Edwards and wife, Libby, of Indianola, Mississippi; Chet Edwardsalso of Louisville and Rita Edwards of Union, and Tommy Edwards of Sturgis, Mississippi; and his brother, Henry Edwards and wife, Jimmie Ruth, of Sturgis. He has four grandchildren: Shawn Edwards; Josh Edwards and wife, Bridget; Angel Anderson; and Mandy Edwards (Charles McCarty). He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Lynn Edwards; grandson, Mike Edwards; and his parents.

Serving as pallbearers are David "Runt" Starnes, David Metts, Jamie Eaves, Randall Livingston, Will Hutchinson, and John Roach. Honorary pallbearers are Jimmy Barker, David Edwards, Kenny McMinn, Wayne Ruth, Ernie Lafond, Jim Sanford, Charlie Lane, and Earl Lane. Memorials may be given to Liberty Universalist Church Cemetery Fund, 2342 Betheden Road, Louisville, MS 39339.
