Mrs. Burnell Weaver, 77, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi, on Thursday, November 7, 2013, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 8, 2013, in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Weaver officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8, at Turnage Chapel Cemetery in Foxworth, Mississippi.
Mrs. Weaver was born September 19, 1936, to Virgil and Pauline Turnage Goleman. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Gloster, Mississippi, and she retired from a career in retail sales.
Mrs. Weaver is survived by her daughters, Jeanette Watson and Annette Weaver of West Point, Mississippi; and Heather Guest (Josh) of Madison, Mississippi; and her sons, Jimmy Weaver (Vicki) of Liberty, Mississippi; Jeff Weaver (Debby) of Gloster, Mississippi; and Chris Weaver (Steve Cochran) of West Point. She is also survived by her sisters, Ann Ellingburg and Mona Dempsey; and Judy Eaves (Hank) all of Louisville; and her brother, Charles Goleman (Ann) of Petal, Mississippi. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Joe Weaver (Jenny); Dewayne Weaver (Tiffany); Laurie Johnson (James); and Melissa Weaver. She has seven great-grandchildren: Jacob Weaver, Julia Weaver, Gracie Guest, Caleb Guest, Ethan Johnson, Destiny Weaver, and Jason Weaver. Mrs. Weaver was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Weaver; her parents; her sisters, Betty Kirk and Frances Underwood; her brother, Kenneth Ray Goleman; and her son-in-law, John Watson.
